Ganesha

Painting ( more of sketching/drawing I guess ) is not a serious hobby of mine, but I dabble in it at times.

I and the Mr. had to live 2200 miles apart for almost a year due to work. And, we would wait 5 long days to meet each other over the weekends. I’m usually a laid back person, but those were the times when I would try keep my day packed to fight off loneliness.

So, I tried to paint after many years ( literally after those school time art classes ). I wanted my first one to be Ganesha. There’s something in the elephant form that has always held me enamored from my childhood. He has always been a friend rather than God to me 🙂

I have used water colors and metallic sharpie pens. The frame was gifted by a friend. I hope to hold onto this one for life. The dandiya sticks are a recent addition. They were just lying unused, so I thought why not glam up my friend 🙂
