I get to look at this every morning, grin with pride and whisper sweet nothings. I know I know it’s not much but I have fallen in love with my small balcony garden. It’s my happy place where I can play with dirt. Now, this is just the flower section which I can see from my living room. Other plants (veggie section) are hidden behind our lounge.
Let me introduce my plants to you – I’ll have detailed posts about each one later.
- Hibiscus – Lot of buds on it currently
- Couple of Pink Impatiens – pot on the railing
- Hanging Calico Kitten – there are more succulents in the pot but not in the shot
- Asparagus fern in the red polka dot pot
- Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra)
- White wild flowers (probably from the Aster family) – in the yellow and orange pots
- Mini Pink Rose
- Red Gerbera daisy
- Dahlia – still very young
- Clematis bare roots in the corner blue pot (hasn’t sent out any shoots yet 😦 )
- Aloe Vera
Quotes every gardener relates to –
- Gardening requires lots of water – most of it in the form of perspiration – Lou E
- Gardening : the fine art of soil to soul – Jan Bills
- To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow – Audrey Hepburn
- There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments – Janet Kilburn Phillips
- Gardening is the slowest of the performing arts – Mac Griswold
- Gardeners know all the dirt
That’s all for now….Ciao until next weekend 😀
