Lake Tahoe – formed during the Ice Ages is a picturesque little place near San Francisco ( about a 3 hr car ride through hilly terrain ). It will hold your heart with its blue clear waters. It’s only next to the Great Lakes in volume and second in depth after Crater Lake.
- A winter/weekend ski destination for Californians who don’t want to travel to Colorado 🙂
- Have picnic on the beach or,
- Just curl up under a blanket with a book in a cozy warm cabin for a weekend. Ah! Peace 😇
Don’t forget to treat your taste buds at My Thai Cuisine. It’s decorated traditionally with warm people at your service. And, the food tastes awesome. No wonder they are a 4.5 * restaurant.
I also noticed this small thing that they did. I could relate to it as we practice this in India too. In traditional homes, we make an offering to God or Mother Nature in some form or the other to express our gratitude. You must have read the significance of Kolam in one of my posts. And them being in the food business, had offered food to Birds and Insects in a small plate outside. It felt so nice to see that these traditional practices are still being followed.
